SKS Microfinance leads gainers in 'A' group


Motherson Sumi Systems, Dish TV India, Adani Enterprises and Gujarat State Petronet are among the other gainers.

Shares of microfinance firm SKS Microfinance spurted 10% to Rs 542.50, extending last week's surge triggered by the finance ministry releasing the draft of a bill aimed at developing and regulating microfinance institutions. The stock topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group.



Shares of SKS Microfinance have surged 58.39% in just three trading sessions from a recent low of Rs 342.50 on Wednesday, 6 July 2011, after the release of the draft microfinance bill by the government after trading hours on Wednesday, 6 July 2011.

Auto component maker Motherson Sumi Systems jumped 5.59% to Rs 241.80. The stock was second biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Direct-to-home television distribution company Dish TV India jumped 3.27% to Rs 89.90. The stock was third biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Commodity trading firm Adani Enterprises galloped 2.40% to Rs 719.25. The stock was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Natural gas transmission network operator Gujarat State Petronet rose 2.12% to Rs 98.55 after a consortium led by the company received authorization for developing three cross country natural gas transmission pipelines. The stock was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group.
